CAMP BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Honorable Joseph Sto. Niño Bernos, Representative, Province of Abra graced the 24th PNP Ethics Day with the Theme: “Serbisyong Tapat at Makatotohanan para sa Pagbabago ng Bayan” of the Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) last Monday morning, January 22, 2018 during the regular Monday flag raising ceremony.

Highlights of the program was the awarding of check worth Php10,000.00 each to various Community-Based Rehabilitation and Wellness centers as beneficiaries of the 2nd RD, PROCOR golf tournament which was conducted on December 22, 2017. Recipients were the Danglas Model Project “Tokhang” with 27 enrollees, received by Honorable Denice Florence Bernos Bragas; the Jesus Reigns Ministry of Baguio City that with 30 enrollees was received by the Administrator, Rev. Rowena Orajay; and the Moral Recovery and Spiritual Enhancement Center in Bakun, Benguet with 179 enrollees was received by the municipal Health officer Ms MaryJane Tayaben.

Next was the awarding of medals to deserving PNP personnel for their dedication, loyalty and conspicuous devotion for having no record or violation of rules, regulations and laws as punishment or conviction or derogatory records in the service.

Awardees for the Medalya ng Mabuting Asal were PSINSP Mercedes B Bucalen; SPO4 Pearly Jaene Dino; SPO2 Luillana Belly; PO3 Marlon Caluducan and PO2 Scarlette Heather Mayocyoc. Also, awardees for the Medalya ng Paglilingkod were PCI Reymino Paduyao; SPO4 Ana Marie Lopez; SPO4 Martin Luke Guidangen; SPO4 Ruff Manganip and SPO3 Melvin Dumlao.

In his speech, Honorable Bernos, commended the awardees and all the personnel of PROCOR under the leadership of the newly installed Regional Director PCSupt EDWAR E CARRANZA for their selfless service and dedication to duty which greatly contributed in the administrative and operational accomplishments of PROCOR.

He is also optimistic that one day, all police officers will have the same fervor to uphold the laws of our country, towards a peaceful and orderly society. “I hope that police officers in Cordillera will take the lead in showing the passion of law enforcement as it applies to all people”, Congressman Bernos added.

The PNP Ethics Day is an annual celebration to constantly remind and reinforce the adherence of all PNP personnel to the PNP Ethical Doctrine which contains the moral values to become disciplined, professional and morally upright policemen (PROCOR RPIO)
