PROCOR CAMP BADO DANGWA: Police Regional Office Cordillera scored anew in the fight against illegal drugs and illegal firearms following the arrest of a butcher and the confiscation of illegal drugs and a firearm with ammunitions yesterday.

Memorandum Order No. 17 signed by the president directed the PNP and other law enforcement agencies to resume the conduct of anti-illegal drug operations with the active support of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA),combined personnel of Bangued Municipal Police Station (MPS), CIDG-Abra and Provincial Maneuver Force Company (PMFC) arrested Roderick Aguilar Tadeo, 35, single, and a resident of Lazala Street, Zone 4, Bangued, Abra in his residence at Lazala Street, Zone 4, Bangued, Abra at around 3:45 PM of January 5, 2018.

By virtue of a search warrant, 15 heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu placed in a separate transparent plastic and pouch; one (1) open sachet and one (1) self-sealing transparent plastic containing suspected shabu residues; five (5) pieces used aluminum foils; one (1) improvise tooter; one (1) butane gas canister; three (3) lighters; one (1) white pouch containing two (2) glass tooter; one (1) red envelop and several plastic sachets were confiscated. Likewise, one (1) Cal .380 with SN M19118380 pistol with inserted magazine loaded with six (6) live ammunition and 17 live ammunition of Cal. 380 placed in a separate plastic sachet, pouch and cigarette box were seized. Other items confiscated items were five (5) cellphones; one (1) tablet; and one (1) iPod.

Judge Raphiel F. Alzate, Presiding/Executive Judge of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 58, Bucay, Abra issued the search warrants for Violation of RA 9165 known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and violation of RA 10591 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act”.

Witnesses during the operation were the suspect, Barangay Chairman Adoracion Toreliza, and Dexter Abella and Edgar Tanura of DZPA.

Tadeo and the seized items are now under the custody of Bangued MPS and PDEA-Abra.
