PROCOR CAMP BADO DANGWA: A jail officer was nabbed in a buy-bust operation after handing illegal drugs to one of the PNP operatives who acted as a poseur- buyer along Fr. Carlo Loop, Upper Session Road, Baguio City in front of Patria de Baguio Building at about 10:00PM on September 3, 2017.

Arrested Jail Officer was identified as JO3 Donald Tauli Kelly Jr., 49, a resident of Ucab Tram, Itogon, Benguet and presently assigned at Itogon Distric Jail.

Seized from his possession were two (2) objects wrapped with white cellophane suspected to be shabu weighing 7.51 grams with DDB value of P40,060.00; One (1) Sling bag colored Blue Gray; One (1) Black pistol holster; One(1) Caliber 9mm Taurus pistol service firearm with serial number TE 091803; One (1) 9mm Taurus Magazine containing 11 ammunitions; One (1) 9mm Taurus Magazine containing 13 ammunitions; cash money amounting to Php1,000.00; Php9,000.00 boodle money and one (1)Nokia cellular phone.recovered

Kelly was a subject of several surveillance operations for the past few days until finally arrested.

PROCOR Regional Director PCSUPT Elmo Francis Oco Sarona said that the PNP does not tolerate persons involved in drugs, much more, a member of the PNP organization or any other government agency, like the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology which JO3 Kelly belongs. Regardless of ranks, those who violates the law is not worthy to wear his/her uniform thus should be removed from the service. This is so because one of the important components of the anti-drug strategy of the government is internal cleansing.

The PNP continuously intensify its internal cleansing efforts, as part of its commitment to weed out erring agents and personnel of the government, particularly those involved in the illegal drugs trade.
