PROCOR CAMP BADO DANGWA: The Police Regional Office Cordillera culminates the 22nd Police-Community Relations Month with the Theme: “Police and Community: Sharing Responsibility, Taking Action in Unity” with Director Helen R. Tibaldo, Regional Director, PIA-CAR as the guest of honor and speaker this morning at PROCOR Camp Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Director Tibaldo together with PROCOR Regional Director PCSUPT Elmo Francis Oco Sarona and members of the command Group awarded various units and personnel who displayed significant contributions and invaluable services which helped in the attainment of numerous police-community relations activities of PROCOR PNP.
Unit Awardees are: Abra Police Provincial Office- "PCR Outstanding Police Provincial Office for CY 2017"; Langilang Municipal Police Station - "PCR Outstanding Municipal Police Station for CY 2017"; and Baguio City Police Office- "PCR Outstanding City Police Station for CY 2017".
Individual awards were also given to the following personnel for their contributions in strengthening the partnership between the police and the community: PSUPT SOSIMO R RACHO, "PCR Outstanding PCO for CY 2017"; SPO1 Freddierick V Tomita - "PCR Outstanding Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer for CY 2017"; and
PO3 Lenie P Turalba - "PCR Outstanding Junior Police Non-Commissioned Officer for CY 2017".
Furthermore, the Regional Police Community Relations recognized the following personnel for their outstanding performance and dedication. SPO2 Cresilda N Maestre - "Outstanding Police Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year 2017 in the field of Public Information, Regional Level"; PSI Mary Grace U Marron – “Outstanding PCO in the Field of Public Information, Provincial Level and SPO2 Eraňo V Dela Cruz – “Outstanding PNCO in the Field of, City Level.
For the Special Awards, following were recognized for their undying support to the PROCOR programs and activities: Mr. Anthony De Leon, Baguio Country Club General Manager, Director Helen R Tibaldo, Regional Director of PIA and Mr. Cesar Reyes, President PNP PRESS CORP.
Another highlight of the program was the MOA signing between the five different school representatives (Cordillera Career Development College, Easter College, King's College of the Philippines, Philippine Women's University - CDCEC Baguio) and PROCOR represented by the Regional Director, PCSUPT Elmo Francis Sarona with the Regional Director of PDEA as another signatory. The very gist of the MOA, among others is for the active participation of said schools in drug abuse prevention programs and training activities initiated by government organizations and Civil Society Organization in the community as part of their extension services/co-curricular activities.
Maximizing the day, at least 27 newly appointed and promoted NUP took their oath at the PROCOR conference room officiated by no less than the Regional Director, PCSUPT Elmo Francis Oco Sarona. In his speech, the Regional Director reminded the NUP on the virtues of PROCOR are the Discipline, teamwork and Commitment. (PROCOR RPIO)
